
Maria Elena began her career at Generale Bank in Brussels in 1987 as a credit analyst. Over the next decade, Maria Elena worked in Spain and Colombia, where she advanced into roles spanning the areas of International Lending, International Treasury, Correspondent Banking and Corporate Banking.
She joined JPMorgan Private Bank in 1998. Working in wealth management in both London and New York, Maria Elena became an expert in cross-border issues impacting the industry. More recently, as a Senior Banker, she was responsible for several of the most complex relationships in the International Private Bank, during which she cultivated an extensive network of professional and personal relationships both within JPMorgan and across the industry at large.
Maria Elena is a licensed Investment Advisor Representative (FINRA Series 63) and was a registered General Securities Representative (FINRA Series 7) in the US. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas Austin and an MBA from Georgetown University.
